And other happy things

1. I've been eating sorbet lately instead of ice cream, since every time I eat dairy lately [more than a little bit, anyway] I get a cold. I don't know. So I was at Madison Market and picked up a pint of Vanilla Island Coconut Bliss. Oh my fucking GOD. It's swoooony! I highly recommend it. I wonder if I can make it myself if I get an ice cream maker...

2. While I was shopping, I also put in an inquiry about whether they can special order Reed's chocolate ginger ice cream for me. I have people I need to inflict it on. Also, it helps my migraines, which is such a bonus I can't even tell you. "V, I have a headache. Will you go get me some of my meds?" Heeee.

3. AND and and and and! If this camp comes through, I want. To camp. With them. There is no other option. Is that perfect for me? I think it's perfect. I think I might CRY it's so perfect.

4. We've got a car at the moment, since a couple of our friends went on vacation and are letting us borrow theirs. Which means an Ikea trip this weekend, to get sconces and the other half of the couch. It'll be just ten and a half feet long, so I dubbed it 10.5 after this movie, which is horrendous, but in a cringeworthily amusing way. Plus it has Bo Duke in it. The couch is sort of horrendous, in a cozy warm [my eyes! so orange!] sort of way and it does not have either of the Duke boys in it, to my knowledge, but that's ok. It's pretty much the color of the General Lee, so I think that counts.

5. Central Cinema is playing all sorts of awesome shit - Desperado [one of the few Tarantino movies that I like], The Witches of Eastwick, Benny and Joon, The Wizard of Oz... And Fame, of course, which I seem to have roped some friends into seeing with me. Woot! Light up the sky like a flame! FAME!

I think I might go to the Old School Film Nite this month, too. If anyone wants to go to that, or any of the others, ping me, ok?
